Scope of work
As a practitioner, in our Consulting practice, you will have the opportunity to build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the goal of exceeding client expectations. Here is an overview of your responsibilities:
- Understand existing processes and facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process
- Experience of architecture, design, and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable Cloud solutions
- Strong knowledge in Cloud-best practices and hands-on experience in design, implementation, and/or support
- Experience in a broad set of technologies related to IT infrastructure and cloud to drive the adoption of Cloud in enabling the transition from traditional platforms to cloud-ready architectures.
- Solve day-to-day issues arising while running robotics processes and provide timely resolutions
Job Role
We are looking for an experienced engineer who has relevant industry experience building a cloud-based solution. As an engineer on the Deloitte Cloud Engineering Team, you will have the opportunity to:

- Play a big part in design and implementation in a team-oriented environment.
- Apply an entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and product development.

Responsibilities / Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant development experience.
- Proven working experience in Java development
- Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
- Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
- Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of Relational/Document Databases, ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
- Experience in the Spring Framework
- Experience with API driven development (e.g. Restful, Graph QL).
- Experience with Microservice based application
- Cloud infrastructure expertise, preferably GCP
- OCJP certified (Must have any version of Java 1.8 and above) Mandatory
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with migrating an existing on-prem application to the cloud.
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment.
- Experience working with large software systems, cloud services, and databases (SQL and NoSQL).
- Sound understanding of SDLC processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and apply analysis to make data driven decisions.
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a global team.
- Experience with build tools across the stack such as Gradle and Maven.
- Professional cloud certification from any hyper scaler (AWS/GCP/Azure)
