Key Skills

SOC Operation L3 Profile –
• 6+ Years of experience in handling and overseeing security monitoring, incident detection, and response activities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security incidents and identify actionable insights.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Fundamental understanding of network traffic analysis including TCP/IP, routing, switching, protocols, etc.
• Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of firewall, Active Directory, DNS, Anti-DDOS, Anti-APT, Antivirus, IDS/IPS, EPP/EDR, FIM, WAF, VPN, PIM, Zscalar Proxy, Decoy, and other security protective/detective controls.
• Lead and supervise the SOC team in monitoring, triaging, and responding to security events and incidents, ensuring timely and effective incident detection and response.
• Manage client engagements, with a focus on incident response and investigation. Provide both subject matter expertise and project management experience to serve as the “point person” for client engagements.
• Develop comprehensive and accurate reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
• Investigate and escalate security incidents as necessary, coordinating with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and law enforcement agencies as appropriate.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior SOC analysts, helping them develop their skills in security monitoring, incident detection, and response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including threat intelligence, IT operations, and engineering teams, to improve SOC processes, procedures, and toolsets.
• Participate in security incident simulations, tabletop exercises, and post-incident reviews to identify areas for improvement and enhance SOC readiness.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices through continuous learning, training, and participation in relevant conferences and forums.
• Monitor and Track SLAs related to Security incidents, alert triage, and resolution times and ensure that SLAs are being met consistently and take proactive measures to address any deviations or breaches.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the SOC's adherence to SLAs.
• Generate regular reports on SOC performance against SLAs for stakeholders, management, and clients and based on trends and patterns in SLA metrics identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and meet SLA targets more effectively.
