The Team
 

Forensic team provides advisory & support services to Deloitte members firms in performing a diverse nature of the forensic engagements. We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ Forensic practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.

The Forensic Accounting & Review team assist in fraud investigation and analyzing financial information that would help manage crisis, legal proceedings or disputes. We assist in case of contractual disputes, asset misappropriation, employee fraud, whistle blowing allegations, bribery & corruption etc. where we use various forensic accounting techniques to perform the work. We also conduct compliance review of ethics policy and supply chain management, transcript review, document/email review on various review platforms such as Relativity, Dtrax, etc.

 

 

Work you’ll do

 

A career within Forensic practice will provide a wide & valuable experience in an exciting and dynamic working & learning environment. The role will position you to support on all aspects of a Forensic Accounting & Review engagements which include the following activities:

  • Interpret and analyze financial documents, agreements, contracts, emails etc.
  • Perform a wide variety of the Forensic accounting related work.
  • Assist the senior members in business development initiatives.
  • Assist the senior members in marketing initiatives.
  • Perform QC/QA and prepare quality deliverables within agreed timeliness.

As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to be involved in diverse nature of engagements where you will:

  • Support Deloitte member firms’ (Canadian, UK, Australian, Middle East and European) business Forensic practice
  • Perform document review and analyze complex legal documents
  • Perform work on various engagement related to forensic accounting and investigations
  • Perform loss quantification
  • Conduct transaction testing
  • Conduct financial due diligence
  • Perform financial/ data Analysis
  • Carry out fact checking/ Math checking
  • Conduct compliance review

Skills Required

 

In order to be considered for this role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of Forensic services, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

  • Excellent track record and strong academic achievements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client facing experience
  • Ability to quickly interpret and review financial statements and apply basic financial, accounting and investigative skills
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem solving skills
  • Basic to advance knowledge of MS suite with knowledge of SQL would be an asset
  • Interest in working in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Ability to find red flags or spot inconsistencies
  • Ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to train and provide guidance to the junior team members
  • Ability to multitask and provide support on projects parallelly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proactive and an inquisitive mind, with a passion to provide world class client service
