The Team
 

Forensic team provides advisory & support services to Deloitte members firms in performing a diverse nature of the forensic engagements. We work as an extension of our Deloitte member firms’ Forensic practices and provide dedicated support throughout the project lifecycle. Working on international assignments involving cross-border and cross-service line teams allows you to build your networks across the vast Global Deloitte network.

 

The eDiscovery and Forensic Technology team provides eDiscovery, cyber forensics and related application development services. We assist across various stages of EDRM model from data pre-processing /processing, analysis to review support and production on different platforms like iPro, Nuix, Relativity and Brainspace.

We work on forensic investigation and analysis of cyber evidence which involves working through data gathering, process, interpret, and use of digital evidence to provide a conclusive description of cyber-crime activities. We assist in eDiscovery application development using Relativity, VBA and python scripting, and also provide additional technology support services.

A career within the Forensic practice will provide a wide & valuable experience in an exciting and dynamic working & learning environment. The role will position you to support various aspects of eDiscovery and Forensic Technology engagements.

 

As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to be involved in diverse nature of engagements where you will:

  • Support Deloitte member firms’ (Canada, UK, Denmark, Germany, Middle East and Australia) in eDiscovery and Forensic technology practice.
  • Work towards tight deadlines, adding efficiency and preparing quality deliverables.
  • Follow documented processes and procedures for data processing and review management using internal systems and operate eDiscovery platforms per our procedures.
  • Use various ESI discovery data processing platforms to extract text and metadata from electronic documents.
  • Load, create, and maintain ESI discovery review hosted databases.
  • Prepare client data deliverables including processing and exception reports, execute any custom requests.
  • Support PMs by assisting with STRs, review setup and productions.
  • Validate data throughout processes and update processing group documents. Perform quality checks per documented processes.
  • Trouble-shoot and resolve relativity errors and if needed, liaising with the relativity support.
  • Demonstrate strong business diagnostic skills and the ability to apply a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Independently manage various tasks related to eDiscovery, review support and investigation related work.
  • Draft project summaries, reports, prepare presentations, etc.
  • Assist with preparation of client proposals and the senior members of the team in administrative tasks in relation to project management.
  • Assist with the creation and execution of marketing strategy.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and tough client conditions, which may require working for extended hours occasionally.

 

Eligibility

  • Graduate or master’s degree holder in a technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, etc.) from an accredited college/university, with working experience of more than 4 years (preferable).
  • Relativity, Brainspace, EnCase or any relevant certification will be an added advantage.

 

Skills Required

 

In order to be considered for this role, your competencies will cover the broad scope of eDiscovery & cyber forensics, leveraging your professional background and skills such as:

  • Excellent track record and strong academic achievements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive client-facing experience
  • Proven analytical and systematic problem-solving skills for investigating complex business issues.
  • Strong understanding of data processing technologies, image production requirements and quality control
  • Working experience across various stages of EDRM and eDiscovery tools such as Concordance, Relativity, Nuix, Law Prediscovery, iPro eCapture.
  • Relativity Certified would be preferable.
  • Strong working knowledge of basic PC functions and Windows environment (Specifically MS Excel and Office)
  • Knowledge of General Database, Networking, and Systems concepts
  • Basic experience with: SQL, SQL+, Visual Basic/VBSCRIPT, SAS, MS-Access, C++, Windows, UNIX, and Linux
  • Basic knowledge of Forensic Procedures and tools such as Encase, FTK
  • Ability to follow operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive and an inquisitive mind, with a passion to provide efficiency and world-class client service.
