Work you’ll do

 

The primary role of a Senior Consultant is to make immediate, direct contributions to enhancing our clients’ competitive position and performance in ways that are distinctive, innovative, and sustainable.

Senior Consultants usually manage one or more junior consultants. The responsibilities of Senior Consultant – Global Business Services can include:

  • Working with internal teams and clients to develop and implement global operating models and work plan
  • Understand client ‘as-is’ processes and identify opportunities for automation using latest technologies such as RPA, Cognitive, AI and ML
  • Identify process improvement or re-engineering opportunities that may be required to perform automation
  • Develop business case for automation opportunities to enable client take an objective decision on selecting a candidate for automation implementation
  • Assess processes and design automation solution or to-be process (Solution Design); identify risks and challenges to automation, and propose mitigation
  • Translate business requirement into technical requirements and work with automation developers to implement the solution as per design
  • Develop solutions to supplement automation solution (using Excel Macros, digital forms, etc.), as required
  • Present the automation solution (‘to-be’ solution) to Deloitte team or client stakeholders
  • Working with internal teams and clients to develop and implement operating models and work plan as per clients’ organization fitness
  • Lead major process enablement, re-engineering initiatives and identify technology fitness.
  • Develop insights from client assignments and share new and innovative approaches / techniques through thought leadership / point-of-view documents
  • Communicate analysis, recommendations and project updates to client senior leadership through written reports or presentations
  • Managing Client’s engagement to design and implement imperatives
    • Integrate the team’s data gathering and analysis into relevant frameworks and insights
    • Synthesize learnings and develop strategic recommendations and implications
    • Demonstrate significant Industry and technical expertise, understand client’s business landscape
    • Monitor progress, manage risk and communicate the progress and outcomes to the key stakeholders
    • Chalk out the journey map to transform current state to a “to-be” enterprise environment and architecture transformation

 

  • Work with client stakeholders on change management projects and initiatives
  • Assist internal teams in prototyping, developing new assets and offerings
  • Develop junior colleagues into effective consultants through team member role design, productive feedback, mentorship and on-the-job coaching

 

  Qualifications

    • A strong and demonstrated interest in consulting specially in thinking through large and complex exercises; working exposure to Robotic and Cognitive Technologies is preferred (management consulting experience will be preferred)
    • Expertise in one or more share services functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, IT operations/ processes is preferred
    • Working exposure in Data science, Machine learning, Computer vision, NLP and other emerging technologies will be a plus
    • Prior experience in qualitative, quantitative and financial analysis
    • Prior experience managing client engagements and programs
    • Excellent academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proficient user of Microsoft suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
    • Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor
    • Willingness and ability to take initiative and learn independently
    • This role involves travel.
