Work you’ll do

 

In this role, you will be focused on PMO engagements with our clients. You will work with organizations to translate strategy into programmes of work, to assure their delivery and to embed the project, programme and PMO capability required to support the challenges of large-scale complex change.

 

To do this, the practitioner must perform the following activities:

 

  • Assisting with the design, implementation and development of project, programme or portfolio management offices;
  • Developing and managing plans and associated critical paths through understanding of the inter-dependencies between workstreams;
  • Reviewing and developing project progress reports and providing oversight of risk / issue / action / dependency management processes and financial control processes in relation to the programme , project or initiative;
  • Reviewing and developing project / programme financial reports and undertaking financial modelling to prepare budgets and business cases;
  • Managing upkeep of project assets ensuring documentation is kept up to date and facilitating effective sharing / communication;

 

Skills Required

  • 8+ years of experience of managing delivery of projects, either within industry or with a consultancy;
  • Experience of assisting with the design and/or implementation of a PMO
  • Development and management of project plans and critical paths across work streams
  • Understanding and experience of project management methodologies (example PRINCE 2 or Agile);
  • Experience of having effectively managed dependencies in a project;
  • Experience of managing progress reporting and risk management;
  • Preparation of programme financial reports as part of a PMO;
  • Experience with financial modelling, e.g. preparation of budgets and business cases;
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills;
  • Preferred: experience of servicing clients in an international collaborative environment across geographies
