Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators

Your work profile

As a Consultant in our Cloud Engineering Team you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations: -

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross functional teams to gather and document business requirements for financial services applications.
• Analyse API’s, associated business processes, workflows, and system requirements to document and drive effective solutions. 
• Create comprehensive functional/technical specification documents for development and integration projects. 
• Document API specifications including (but not limited to) the metadata, constraints and the data mapping/transformation rules. 
• Gather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
• Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
• Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and successful testing. 
• Plan and execute testing activities, including defining test cases and conducting user acceptance testing. 
• Ensure that proposed solutions align with business objectives and industry regulations. 
• Assist in user training and support, addressing inquiries and concerns. 
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. 

Desired qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, MBA  
• 3- 5 years on experience
• Good experience in Banking products and processes, including understanding of compliance requirements around data privacy, outsourcing policies and key banking regulations.
• Should be able to analyse third party API documentation and collate technical requirements for the new API’s to be developed.
• Have documented open API specifications using tools like Swagger.
• Proficient in information gathering, documentation, and creation of functional specification documents.
• Ability to test using automated tools
• Basic understanding of business processes and IT systems.
• Experience in financial services applications, especially in Banking would be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, including test case development and user acceptance testing. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration. 
• Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions. 
• Detail-oriented mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Relevant certifications in business analysis or related fields (optional).
• Nice to Have – Basic skills on DB querying, ability to read xmls

Location and way of working

• Base location: Mumbai
• This profile does not involve extensive travel for work.
• Hybrid is our default way of working. Each domain has customised the hybrid approach to their unique needs.
