Scope of work

As a practitioner, in our Consulting practice, you will have the opportunity to build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the goal of exceeding client expectations. Here is an overview of your responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update geological and mining models used for mine planning and geological interpretation.
  • Provide geological modelling and assessment support for technical consulting projects.
  • Provide support for the evaluation of relevant tenders/proposals.
  • Interpret geological data from various sources, including maps, satellite imagery, and geophysical surveys.
  • Generate geological maps, cross-sections, and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of geological surveys and exploration programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and GIS specialists.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of geology and apply new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Client, highlighting current and upcoming impediments on project activities.

Required Skills

As a practitioner, you will work in teams led by partners, with colleagues and clientele belonging to metals & mining industry to develop innovative operating solutions by bringing in a broad perspective. As part of these engagements, you will develop a deep understanding of client issues, work in teams to build robust and executable solutions and articulate effectively to the client stakeholders.

Skills required:  

  • Minimum 5 years of mining industry experience in Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Geology/Applied-Geology.
  • Well versed in Exploration planning supervision, Preparation of geological model, preparation of geological report, contractual awareness, quality control, beneficiation, reserving and reconciliation, problem solving, safe approach.
  • Should have good communication and presentation skills.
  • Should have experience of working with mining and metal sector clients / industry or relevant industry.
