The team
 

Deloitte’s Cloud Engineering services are your entry point on the Cloud journey, setting the goals, pace, and direction to fit your business objectives. Services include readiness, strategy, business case development, architecture and planning, governance and policy, and operating model transformation.
 

Scope of work

 

As a practitioner, in our Consulting practice, you will have the opportunity to build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the goal of exceeding client expectations. Here is an overview of your responsibilities:

 

  • Understand existing processes and facilitate change requirements as part of a structured change control process
  • Experience of architecture, design, and implementation of complex, highly available and highly scalable Cloud solutions
  • Strong knowledge in Cloud-best practices and hands-on experience in design, implementation, and/or support
  • Experience in a broad set of technologies related to IT infrastructure and cloud to drive the adoption of Cloud in enabling the transition from traditional platforms to cloud-ready architectures.
  • Solve day-to-day issues arising while running robotics processes and provide timely resolutions

 

We are currently hiring for the following skills:

  •      Cloud Strategy
  •      Data Engineer (AWS/GCP/AZURE)

 

Cloud Strategy:

Qualifications / Eligibility criteria

  • Technology graduation (Engg. / MCA) + MBA Degree is required
  • 3+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
  • 3 or more years of experience in Cloud solutions (IaaS/ PaaS/ SaaS) Strategy and Implementation for mid or large size organizations (this includes private/public Clouds – on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMWare).
  • Relevant experience to enable selection criteria for cloud providers and application suitability assessments including detailed cloud architecture design for global scale and high availability.
  • Deep prior project experience in at least one of the below areas –
  • Cloud financials and business case
  • Cloud operating model
  • SAP HANA cloud platform
  • DevOps, Container technology and Microservices
  • Migration management / PMO
  • Understanding of different backup, replication, disaster recovery and high availability technologies
  • Knowledge of major Infrastructure as a service provider
  • Experience in participating in transformation initiatives for mid to large scale organizations

 

Data Engineer

Qualifications / Eligibility criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable job-related experience
  • 3-7 years of full life-cycle experience
  • Spark development and implementation
  • Designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting Spark application in cloud or on prem systems.
  • Working experience in SPARK with any of the programming language i.e. Python, Scala, Java
  • Proficient in DE Build life cycle comprising of Requirement gathering, Development, Design, Test and Deploy
  • Strong communication skills with a proven leadership track record
  • 3+ years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of spark-based solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)

 

Required Skills

  • Good Knowledge in Big Data
  • Writing high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code.
  • Ability to write Spark code from scratch using python/scala/java.
  • Understanding of Cloud [Azure/AWS/GCP] or On-prem [Cloudera/Hortonworks] big data distributions.
  • Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • Familiarity with data loading and data transformation tools like sqoop, hive, spark streaming etc.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to Big Data domain
  • Good aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.

  • Excellent analytical skills and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Ability to effectively articulate architectural and business use case requirements to a non - technical audience, including both internal and client-facing engagements
  • Ability to chart one’s own career and build networks within the organisation
  • Ability to work both, independently and as part of a team with professionals at all career levels
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and raise concerns/questions where appropriate
  • Own the work assigned from end-to-end
