Deloitte’s Sustainability & Climate (S&C) Centre of Excellence (CoE) is supporting the Deloitte member firms in the Asia-Pacific (AP) region to deliver S&C offerings at scale and with cost efficiency to get ahead of peers in this competitive market. The CoE will work with the top leadership of the Deloitte member firms across the AP region (Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan, South-East Asia, etc.) and solve complex problems by bringing an approach to executable strategy that combines deep industry knowledge, rigorous analysis, and creative insights to enable confident action.

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) offers services across different S&C domains: ESG data, performance, disclosure benchmarking, and competitor analysis; GHG accounting Scope 1, 2 & 3 related services; Taxonomy and regulatory interpretation of international standards; Climate risk and resilience assessment; and GreenSpace Tech and GreenLight GTM and pursuit support.

Your work profile

 

The Asia Pacific Sustainability & Climate Centre of Excellence (AP S&C CoE) – Senior Consultant (Programme Support) role is an exciting opportunity to work in one of Deloitte’s key priorities, with an exponential impact on the business practices of the future. You will be working alongside a group of leaders and peers to shape & drive the activation of Deloitte’s Sustainability and Climate agenda.

You will be positioned within the AP S&C CoE – whose purpose is to support and catalyse growth in the region. Your primary role will be to support the overall operations & management of the CoE, as well as the activation of its top priorities. The role will be highly varied across the AP S&C practice’s full initiative and dependent on the individual’s skills.

Your daily tasks will be executed with the guidance of the AP S&C Chief of Staff / Programme Manager, with whom you will work closely in addition to collaborating with other members of the AP S&C team. The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to (in a lead or support capacity):

Programme Support

  • Designing processes to help effectively oversee and manage the delivery and impact of the CoE and its top priorities (e.g., standard operating procedures for new activities, monitoring and reporting processes/documents, etc.)
  • Supporting the execution of the CoE’s top priorities, including creating plans and materials for internal and external activation activities (e.g., executive meetings, internal and external forum presentations, market activation/sales enablement events, etc.)
  • Managing some of the key components of the CoE, including the AP S&C Priority Accounts programme sales and pursuits analysis/activities as well as knowledge library consolidation/sharing

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage in day-to-day interactions with key leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Participate in internal workshops and meetings
  • Handle request and queries from partner firms

Other Responsibilities

  • You may be required to travel in the process of fulfilling responsibilities for this role
  • Considering time zone differences, you may be required to work outside of standard business hours (e.g., to participate in meetings with stakeholders across the region)

Desired qualifications

  • Practitioner with 5 to 8 years of experience in programme management
  • Stellar academic credentials (MBA/advanced degree preferred)
  • Demonstratable experience as a problem solver in high-performing teams
  • Experience in working across the AP region (across AP cultures), and across firm structure (cross-business units) would be advantageous.
  • Sustainability & Climate subject-matter expertise would be preferable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel for conducting analysis, MS PowerPoint for creating presentation decks, and MS Word for writing reports)
  • Sound quantitative analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills (professional fluency essential)
  • Out-of-box thinking and an inclination for problem solving
  • Ability to self-organize, design, manage, and own systemic processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (written & verbal), with the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and professionally through both internal & external communications
  • Be a team player – open-minded, collaborative, and responsive; able to work effectively with diverse groups of people, across all levels of the organization

Location and way of working

  • Base location: Delhi CEC / Mumbai CEC
  • This profile involves occasional travelling to client location
