  • Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer
    Job Overview: The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect an organization's cloud-based assets. This role involves collaborating with various teams to identify security risks, develop security solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    Key Responsibilities:
    1.    Cloud Security Architecture:
    •    Design and implement security architecture for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
    •    Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and best practices.
    2.    Security Assessments:
    •    Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure and applications.
    •    Perform threat modeling and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
    •    Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on endpoints
    3.    Identity and Access Management (IAM):
    •    Manage and enforce IAM policies and controls for cloud services.
    •    Implement and monitor authentication and authorization mechanisms.
    •    Familiar with PAM Solutions 
    4.    Data Security:
    •    Implement encryption, data masking, and access controls to protect sensitive data.
    •    Ensure data compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
    5.    Network Security:
    •    Configure and monitor network security controls, including firewalls and virtual private networks (VPNs).
    •    Implement security groups and network segmentation.
    6.    Security Monitoring and Incident Response:
    •    Set up and maintain security monitoring tools and systems.
    •    Develop and execute incident response plans in the event of security breaches.
    •    Familiar with SIEM Solutions 
    7.    End Point Security Solutions 
    •    Design, Deployment and manage endpoint security solutions including antivirus, anti-malware, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools
    •    Develop and enforce endpoint security policies and configurations to minimize vulnerabilities
    8.    Security Automation:
    •    Automate security processes and tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
    •    Implement continuous security monitoring and reporting.
    9.    Cloud Provider Security Services:
    •    Utilize native security services offered by cloud providers (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center).
    •    Configure and manage security features specific to the chosen cloud platform.
    10.    Security Training and Awareness:
    •    Provide security training and guidance to development and IT teams.
    •    Raise awareness of security best practices and policies.
    Qualifications:
    •    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's preferred).
    •    Professional certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
    •    Extensive experience in cloud security, including working with major cloud service providers.
    •    Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and best practices.
    •    Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
    •    Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    •    Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
    Experience:
    •    Typically, 3+ years of experience in cloud security or a related field.
    •    Prior experience with security operations, incident response, or penetration testing is a plus.
    A Cloud Security Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining the security posture of an organization's cloud infrastructure. They must stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to adapt security measures accordingly and protect valuable digital assets.
  • Develop and enforce endpoint security policies and configurations to minimize vulnerabilities.
