About Assurance

Provides an independent assessment of the outsourced and organization’s control procedures and establish whether those controls meet the objectives stated by management. The third-party services may be utilized to demonstrate those controls to customers and their auditors. Advisory, assurance and trust services will also provide management with assistance and a level of assurance over business and/or IT controls.

Assistant Manager


Roles and Responsibilities

An Assistant Manager at Deloitte is expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:


  • Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches
  • Conduct Walkthroughs of the business processes and IT general controls (ITGC) along with support in creating the process documentation and the flow chart of the same. Update of the process documentation basis the changes in the nature of the business and its operations.
  • Perform independently the Design Assessment and Operating effectiveness Assessment of business processes and IT general controls (ITGC) to ensure compliance with PCAOB requirements.
  • Assess the design of the respective controls in relation to mitigating the financial risk considering the control description, its attributes, and test plan. Documentation of SOX testing and testing results in line with pre-defined testing procedures
  • Ensuring the Quality of Testing documentation to the Compliance standards.
  • Assist with the evaluation of control deficiencies and provide practical recommendations for remediations.
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed client expectations.
  • Facilitate use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services


Eligibility criteria and requirements:


  • Chartered Accountant
  • Experience in SOX, Internal audit, financial reporting controls and IT auditing
  • Knowledge of ERP’s like SAP / Oracle/ JDE / etc. and their native application controls will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of flowcharts design and process improvements.
  • Ability to exercise professional skepticism and judgement while evaluating risks and controls
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal/external team and work well within a collaborative team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills



Preferred Certifications


Certifications of CISA, CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 if any preferred
