Profile: Consultant/ Senior Consultant

 

The Data Quality Specialist is responsible for assessing, improving, and maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data assets within the organization. They implement data cleansing processes, develop data quality rules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity. The Data Quality Specialist plays a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making and ensuring data compliance.

Must Have Skills

Data quality Concepts, Expertise with Informatica CDQ (Cloud Data Quality), Informatica Data Catalogue, ETL knowledge (Informatica CDI/CAI), Data Analysis skills, Strong SQL.

Responsibilities

•          Perform thorough data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, such as missing values, inconsistencies, duplicates, and inaccuracies.

•          Drive thought leadership on Data Governance technology platforms and selection, with expert knowledge/PoV on top DG platforms, like, Collibra, Informatica, Alation

•          Design data governance solution frameworks, covering all tenets of Enterprise Data governance, aka Data Catalog, Metadata Management, Lineage Management, Business Glossary, Data Quality Management, Data access and controls, Data Marketplace

•         

•          Experience in Informatica CDQ, CDI, CDGC and CAI for Profiling, Business rule configuration and ETL capability.

•          Develop and implement data cleansing rules and techniques to address identified data quality issues.

•          Execute data cleansing processes, including data deduplication, data validation, standardization, and data transformation.

•          Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data quality requirements and establish data quality metrics.

•          Work closely with data owners and stakeholders to understand data sources, business rules, and data dependencies.

•          Monitor data quality on an ongoing basis, proactively identifying and resolving data issues.

•          Develop and maintain documentation on data quality processes, rules, and procedures.

•          Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data quality controls are implemented throughout the data lifecycle.

•          Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in data quality management.

 

Requirements

•          Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

•          Proven experience as a Data Quality Specialist or in a similar role.

•          Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

•          Proficient in data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation techniques.

•          Experience working with data cleansing tools and technologies.

•          Familiarity with SQL, data manipulation languages, and database systems.

•          Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex data quality issues.

•          Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities.

•          Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

•          Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
