The team

 

The Digital Excellence Centre is responsible for building products and platforms for Deloitte India that focuses on providing extraordinary customer experience by putting design thinking with trailblazing technology in the center of what they do. The diverse team consists of subject matter experts, technology specialists, quality engineers, user experience researchers & designers, data scientists and product managers


Work you’ll do

 

The ideal candidate will be part of the team, responsible for managing all test activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  1.  Along with Agile teams, develop and manage test strategies that will include approaches for test data, regression testing and automation methodologies to ensure higher quality delivery and test coverage
  2. Promoting QA standards and best practices across Agile teams
  3. Possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment that supports production and maintenance level changes
  4. Possess the ability to do high level impact analysis and test approaches for production and maintenance level software changes
  5. Work with Scrum teams to complete root cause analysis and corrective action plans to ensure higher quality test coverage throughout the development and UAT development life cycles
  6. Advise and assist QA Manager on status, risks and their resolutions as they relate to testing and quality assurance
  7. Assisting in the overseeing of various QA systems projects of an integrated nature
  8. Drive and contribute to the Manual and Automation test strategy, scripts, and framework focusing on test architecture, re-usability, stability, performance, scalability, and related Quality/team metrics
  9. Provide hands-on test support when necessary to verify front-end and back-end changes, user workflows, database, API, security, performance, mobile device, browsers


 

As a prospective candidate, you should possess:

 

  1. Experience managing testing team
  2. Appetite for exploring new technologies
  3. Ability to work in agile environment.
  4. Critical thinking and analytical skills to examine bug reports and prioritize necessary tests, what information to include in the daily status reports, prioritize and estimate task execution.
  5. Good communication and teamwork skills to interact with project team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  6. Work closely with dev team - from reproducing the reported issue and emphasizing the fix for critical bugs to understanding how the bug has been fixed.
