The team
The Digital Excellence Centre is responsible for building products and platforms for Deloitte India that focuses on providing extraordinary customer experience by putting design thinking with trailblazing technology in the center of what they do. The diverse team consists of subject matter experts, technology specialists, quality engineers, user experience researchers & designers, data scientists and product managers
Work you’ll do
As a DevOps Lead in the DEC team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our DevOps strategy. We are seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 12 years of overall IT industry experience, who possesses deep expertise in building and managing DevOps infrastructure and building the DevOps teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing industry standards and best practices to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and reliability to automate the software development processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. DevOps Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the DevOps team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable infrastructure for continuous integration, deployment, and delivery.
- Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure.
3. Team Management:
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing DevOps team.
- Foster a culture of automation and collaboration among team members.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
4. Toolchain Implementation:
- Evaluate, select, and implement DevOps tools and technologies that enhance development and operational efficiency.
- Ensure seamless integration of tools for source code management, continuous integration, continuous monitoring, security testing, automated testing, and deployment.
5. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the overall DevOps workflow.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the DevOps domain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in the IT industry, with a focus on DevOps.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing DevOps strategies for complex software product development.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, and orchestration tools.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications in DevOps and cloud technologies are a plus.
