Deloitte’s SA&MA- Analytics & Cognitive practice can help you uncover and unlock the value buried deep inside vast amounts of data. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage data from disparate sources and convert it into accurate, actionable information that can support fact-driven decision-making and generate an insight-driven advantage. Our practice addresses the continuum of opportunities in business intelligence & visualization, data management, performance management and next-generation analytics and technologies, including big data, cloud, cognitive and machine learning.

Work you’ll do

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant in our Consulting team, you’ll build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients with the intention to exceed client expectations. You’ll:

• Design, develop and deploy solutions using different tools, design principles and conventions
• Working with colleagues to understand and implement data product requirements
• Delivering the data supply chain, understanding how data is ingested from different sources and combined / transformed into a single data set
• Understanding how to analyse, cleanse, join and transform data
• Implementing designed / specified solutions into the chosen platform with due consideration for Data Ops principles
• Working with colleagues to ensure that the cloud infrastructure available is capable of meeting the solution requirements
• Planning, designing and conducting tests of the implementations, correcting errors and re-testing to achieve an acceptable result
• Appreciate how to manage the data including security, archiving, structure and storage
• Support solution architect in creating architecture deliverables such as data architecture, data processing architecture, data testing strategy

Qualifications

1. Degree level education in Mathematics, Scientific, Computing or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
2. Mandatory
   1. 7+ years of experience of Data Engineering roles including 2+ years in leading end-to-end design and implementation of data solutions for large scale use cases
   2. Experience in Building robust Data pipeline In Azure Data factory/Synapse Pipelines with Quality control and operational Metrics
   3. Experience in designing data lake house/data product solutions using Azure data management components - ADLS ,Synapse Serverless tables and Synapse Dedicated SQL pool, AZURE SQL
   4. Proficiency in Python (preferably azure functions) using different modules used for data munging
   5. Be up to date with data processing technology / platforms such as PySpark (Databricks)
   6. Experienced in Azure DevOps
3. Desirable
   • Experience of working in tightly regulated industry is desirable
   • Experience with Azure Function , PowerBI, Azure Purview
   • Good understanding of Azure infrastructure components and their fit in different types of data solutions
