Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with expertise in platform and data management, risk management, and technical project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing multiple PODs, ensuring project milestones are met, and overseeing the functional delivery of complex technical projects. This role requires someone with deep technical knowledge, strong conflict management skills, and the ability to work closely with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Budget Management:

• Ensure project budgets are effectively managed, keeping track of availability and making necessary adjustments to stay within budget constraints.

1. POD Management:

• Manage and oversee more than one POD (Product-Oriented Delivery) team, ensuring they are aligned with project goals and deliverables.

1. Milestone Tracking:

• Keep a close track of project milestones, ensuring that all key deliverables are on schedule and within scope. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress.

1. Conflict Management:

• Address and resolve conflicts within the team or between stakeholders, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.

1. Functional Delivery Oversight:

• Oversee the functional delivery of PODs, ensuring that the teams deliver quality outputs that meet business and technical requirements.

1. Technical Knowledge:

• Leverage your strong technical knowledge and understanding of the platform, preferably Hadoop platform, to guide the team and ensure technical feasibility and sound decision-making.

1. Blocker Removal:

• Proactively identify and remove any blockers that may impede the progress of the project, ensuring smooth and continuous workflow.

1. Risk Management (RAID):

• Manage Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) associated with the project. Develop mitigation strategies to handle risks effectively and ensure project success.

1. Engineering Team Engagement:

• Engage closely with the engineering team, especially those with a deep understanding of the platform, to ensure that technical challenges are addressed and that the project is technically sound.

1. Risk Domain Expertise:

• Apply your expertise in the risk domain to guide project decisions, ensuring that all risk-related aspects of the project are properly managed and aligned with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager in a similar role.
• Strong background in budget management and resource allocation.
• Experience managing multiple PODs and delivering complex technical projects.
• Excellent conflict resolution and team management skills.
• Technical expertise, particularly in platforms, Hadoop Clusters, and risk management.
• Ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and provide technical guidance.
• Familiarity with RAID management and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
